Yesterday, I was invited to Hampton Univeristy's radio station for an interview with Cheryl Wilkerson show on 88.1FM. Ms. Wilkerson was not in so Professor Joy McDonald sat in for her. Truly it was a joy, pun intended Prof Joy. I thoroughly enjoyed the interview with her and appreciate the time she gave us to talk about The Sankofa Project and our efforts to create cultural awareness around Africans in the Diaspora in our Hampton Roads community.
