Humbled and honored to have been asked to write an article for The Feminist Wire in celebration of Toni Cade Bambara, whom I lovingly refer to as the "Mother of the Movement." In 2012, I answered Toni's call for us to Remember the Millions of Africans who perished during the Middle Passage of the Transatlantic Trade.
